"Bird of Paradise" by Dan Nguyen
Dan Nguyen is currently a senior in printmaking and painting at Kansas State University. Since she was a child, she has had a passion and desire to draw stories of her own, and because of the influence of Japanese cartoons and comics (also known as Anime and Manga), her style is more of a mix between cartoon-like and realistic. Dan Nguyen also enjoys designing her own characters, and this painting is a portrait of one of them. Dan Nguyen plans to go to graduate school and become a teacher so that she can help others pursue their passion for art.
